Figurine | My Hero Academia TEXTURE Izuku Midoriya B Version

I'll be frank. I wasn't planning to get this Another Colour of Deku's figure but the Shopee seller mistakenly put up the photo on their listing which resulted in my believing they were selling the first volume from the Texture line hence this purchase. Imagine my surprise when the seller didn't even realise there's actually 2 versions of this figure and while they're offering to refund and pick up this figure, I've decided to just keep it and asked for discount on my next purchase rather than waste another RM25 worth of shipping fee.

This figure has the same design as the first volume; pose and costume-wise but obviously the colour is more of a cooler tone than the original one and some material used are quite different compared so let's get right into it, shall we?

Now at this point, this figure is one of seven Deku's figures that I have; two from Banpresto The Amazing Heroes line with another arriving hopefully early next month, one from Figure Colosseum line, one from Q Posket line and another from the same Texture line i.e. the A version of this figurine and the most prized item from my whole collection; the 10th Anniversary Banpresto World Figure Colosseum Modeling Academy Super Master Stars Piece The Brush version. Yes, it's the champion for My Hero Academia category, sculpted by Watanabe X Ren although a second fan favourite in the 2019 competition just behind Katsuki Bakugo.

But first, let's talk about the packaging!

As you can see above, the box is very much similar to the original version's but has black background and there's half of the figure front elevation printed at the front and smaller sides of the box while a close-up of the textured finish of Deku's Costume Gamma which is the third upgrade from his original hero costume printed on the other smaller side.

At the back of the box, there's the front elevation of the figurine being printed again along with a point of close-up that we'll be focusing on for this figure. Indeed, this version came out together with Ochaco Uraraka that I've reviewed previously.

At the top side of the box, there's the figurine line; Texture Another Colour printed on it and there's also the round, MediaLink hologram sticker on top of the white box that says Licensed by TOHO Co. Ltd. Also, there's the manufacturing date printed at the bottom side of the box which is April, 2021.

Now, the figurine came with an inner packaging and protector lining that supposedly hold the unassembled figurine inside so even when the outer box get smashed into half of its size, not to worry as the figurine should be safe for you to unbox.

According to my observation, an authentic figure always comes in a box and there's serial number stamped on the inner side of of the top (sometimes bottom) lid of the box so definitely check yours before cutting open the plastic cover.

I also noticed that these recents releases have set of number printed right on the plastic and there's also a series of number printed at the foot stand unlike the first figurine that came out from this figure line.

Of course, the figurine came in unassembled parts, sealed in clear plastics; usually in 3 to 6 parts depending on the design and for this first figure from the line, there's the custom black foot stand, the upper and lower body parts that took me less than a minute to assemble.

As I've mentioned above previously, Deku started wearing this Costume Gamma like halfway through the third season particularly in the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc. The significant difference compared to the previous costume upgrade would be the iron soles added to his red boots.

Now, here are the satisfying close-ups of the figurines!

Front elevations.

Look at the textured finish at his mask. Weirdly, I never see Deku wearing that mask or that metal front mask.

There's the embossed copyright logo on Deku's red belt.

I can't help but liking this version better than the original one as turquoise is my absolute favourite colour.

So that's the original version at the back with the Another Colour version at the front. Totally love Deku's hair matches his hero costume and if you guys wondering, both of them can totally stand on their own without the foot stand.

So what do you think of this figure? Have you watched My Hero Academia? Definitely let me know by leaving comments down below and I guess that's all of it! I'll see you guys on next week's post!

Funko Pop! Friday | My Hero Academia #610 Himiko Toga AAA Anime Exclusive

Log | Kijiya Volume 12 Is Here

... Sort of. So if you guys remember last week, I was on the hunt for the 12th volume of Zint's Kijiya series and honestly I was stumped. I couldn't find it anywhere; websites, online shopping platforms and social media through popular hashtags so I've reached out to GempakStarz again to get some leads on where I can get it. Perhaps their staff hide one or two copies in their drawers but instead, they told me about eSentral; the biggest e-book platform in Malaysia. Of course, I just had to hop onto the platform and explore their options.

While I'm probably the last person in this country with a smartphone who didn't know aboute-Sentral, you guys can check out the app right on Play Store and I've installed mine in my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. The first book I bought? Of course, it's right there in the title of this post; Kijiya Volume 12! Yay!

I'm so elated to finally come to the end of my quest to complete this comic series! Congratulations, Zint!

I'm also happy to find Ben's The Fishes by the way! My physical copy was lost somewhere; probably grew some wings and flew out of my shelf, I don't know but this e-book will do for now.

I guess that's all of it! Let me know if you're on e-Sentral too and if you have interesting downloads to share about by leaving comments down below. See you on my next post!

Figurine | My Hero Academia TEXTURE Ochaco Uraraka

When it comes to the Banpresto Texture line designed for My Hero Academia, I love how I can focus just on the costumes and the upgrades for each of the characters and compare the differences between each and every figurines that I have released for the past couple years.

Therefore onto this week's figurine, I want to talk about this figure featuring one of the anime's main character Ochaco Uraraka (麗日お茶子 Uraraka Ochaco) and if you've been following my Facebook page, surely you saw another My Hero Academia figurine line from Bandai Spirits called The Amazing Heroes that I'm currently collecting too so I'll be posting some reviews on them next month!

Now at this point, this figure is one of two Ochaco's figures that I have with another from Banpresto The Amazing Heroes line although I've already pre-ordered the upcoming Q Posket figure which will be arriving next month so I'd be sure to keep you guys posted on that as well.

So first, let's talk about the packaging!

As you can see above, there's half of the figure front elevation printed at the front and smaller sides of the box while a close-up of the textured finish of Ochaco's costume printed on the other side.

At the back of the box, there's the front elevation of the figurine being printed again along with one point of close-up that we'll be focusing on for this figure. Note that this figure came out with the B version of Izuku Midoriya that I've already reviewed here.

At the top side of the box, there's the figurine line; Texture printed on it and there's also the round, hologram MediaLink sticker on top of the white box that says Licensed by TOHO Co.

As you can see, the condition of the box is just perfect thanks to the seller already who wrapped the box with bubble wrappers and delivered in big and sturdy box with the rest of my order couriered via UPS.

While other figurines came in unassembled parts, this Ochaco figurine didn't require any assembly although sealed in clear plastic along with the custom pink foot stand.

Basically, Ochaco's hero costume consists of a skin-tight black full-body suit with a pale pink design down the middle of her torso, two black circles at the middle of her chest and a horizontal black rectangle below her waist, supposedly running between her legs. There are two pink patches over her shoulders; both cut off by pink armbands that match the thick choker around her neck. She has circular wrist guards with pink handles and pale pink knee-high boots with pink soles plus a two-piece belt around her waist with a pink circle embedded at the centre where the pieces joined together.

Now, here are the satisfying close-ups of the figurines!

There's the embossed copyright logo at the back of Ochaco's boots.

I love how Ochaco's expression here just so cute and screams encouragement as if to tell us, it's okay and keep on fighting!

So what do you think of this figure? I simply love the textured finish on her! Have you watched My Hero Academia? Definitely let me know by leaving comments down below and I guess that's all of it! I'll see you guys on next week's post!

Funko Pop! Friday | My Hero Academia #609 All For One

It's Friday and you guys know what it means! I've been wanting to share with you guys about this Funko Pop! from My Hero Academia animation and it's featuring All For One's character! Up to this point, there are at least 3 different Pop!s for this character and this indeed the first one that came out from the #6XX wave. I've already ordered the other two from official oversea distributor so be sure to keep yourself updated by giving my Facebook Page (link on the sidebar) a Like and show your support by hitting that Follow button so you won't be missing out on my upcoming contents!

But first off, let's see the packaging that All For One came in. Just to let you guys know, I got this Funko Pop! from official Malaysian distributor which is Sheldonet directly on their own website so I'm so happy that I've received this figure in mint condition as it was shipped in a plastic container.

This Pop! came with the regular MediaLink hologram sticker for Asian market.

As you can see above, there's the (I believe) latest version of the distributor sticker.

Of course, the Pop! came with a transparent plastic mould to hold the item in place while in the box.

Side elevations of the Pop! figure. It's quite interesting to see the whole look for the character as I've only watched up until the early episodes of the third season where All For One was just sitting on his chair. haha

For Pop! figure you guys can check the copyright logo embossed at the feet.

Update on August 27th 2021, I'm currently using Gotcha Pops to protect my Pop!s so I'll check back with you guys at the end of the year and see whether the colour of the box fades or not.

I would say that this is a great Pop! as a starter as you can see how well the figure was made by the company while looking at the details and how accurate the design is. Can't wait for the other two Pop!s to arrive as I really want to see the other points of representation of the character; not just the positions of hands or feet, maybe his quirks or accessories. Those Special Edition versions of the the two Pop!s; #646 Big Apple Collectibles and #647 Fugitive Toys Exclusive respectively have arrived so I shall post reviews on them sometime in September.

So what do you guys think? Would you have Funko Pop! as part of your figure collection? Definitely let me know by leaving comments down below and I guess I'll be seeing you guys in my next segment post.
