Music Monday | Deadpool & Wolverine Soundtrack

It's the third week since the release of the third Deadpool movie and I'm still obsessed with the official soundtracks of the film especially the second track, Bye Bye Bye by 'NSYNC.

I've also been enjoying the behind the scenes of the movie and I'm so impressed with *spoiler alert* Jennifer Garner's workouts and preparations for her cameo as Elektra! I've been a fan of hers since 2005 and currently rewatching Alias for like the fifth time because I've missed watching her works so much. Plus, 13 Going 30 is trending on Netflix recently.

Have you seen the movie? Let me know what you think.

Music Monday | "Gurenge" (紅蓮華, Red Lotus)

Announced on JASRAC (Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers) on May 19 that Japanese singer LiSA's 15th single song "Gurenge" (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba TV anime OP) won the Gold Award of the 39th JASRAC Awards which means the song was the most profitable Japanese song of 2020.

LiSA, who also wrote the lyrics of this song, says, "I am very honored that this song has been loved for so long. I received the passionate love of many people involved from the original manga to the TV anime, and I searched for the words for this song while facing the 'strength' in my own heart. I hope that our story and theirs will continue to bloom strongly and proudly, like a lotus flower blooming beautifully on the surface of the water, transcending any kind of days. "

I personally have played this song like thousand times on Spotify so yes, definitely song of the year.

Music Monday | Beauty of the Dark by Mads Langer

The beauty of the dark is the beauty of you
I dream of dreaming dreams of you
But nightmares always block the view
I can't sleep

The beauty of silence is the noise of no words
When everything I listen for is here when you walk in the door tonight

Where is the light in your deep dark room?
A shock of white could save you from your shadow
Why is the dark behind the moon?
Out of reach until the light is shattered

The ugly things I do for beauty
If you could see what's real in me
Then maybe beauty wouldn't be so cruel

Where is the light in your deep dark room?
A shock of white could save you from your shadow
Why is the dark behind the moon?
Out of reach until the light is shattered

The beauty of the dark
The beauty of the dark is the beauty of you

Where is the light in your deep dark room?
A shock of white could save you from your shadow
Why is the dark behind the moon?
Out of reach until the light is shattered

Oh, God. I recently watched several episodes of The Vampire Diaries and this song just came on and I got reminded of hauntingly beautiful it is; literally on repeat on my iPod 10 years ago as I watched the series for the first time. lol

While most of the songs that I love and appreciate has to do with moon - I don't know, maybe I am descendant of werewolf in someway? Please don't ask me that. This song isn't exception to that and I can already imagine the songwriter was probably sitting at a corner of dark room staring at a girl while holding is guitar.

I hardly discover new songs these days as I kept coming back to my 2010s playlist. Typical Leo.

Signing off, take care!

Music Monday | Light in the Darkness | YouTube Playlist

As much as I want to embed my Spotify playlist in here, I still can't find the way to do it but of course, it's much easier to share the link via social media e.g. Instagram Stories.

So, as you guys might as well aware that I've been into Shadowhunters books, series, extras, etc lately, it's probably given that I want to share with you guys my playlist! Obviously, these are the songs featured in the first 2 seasons of Shadowhunters - I haven't got into last year's season 3 (which is also the final season) yet simply because I want to savour the story of Clace a little bit more.

But I just want to point out that one of my favourite featured sing here is 'Unworthy' by Vancouver Sleep Clinic; first come up during Jace and Clary's scene in episode "Hail and Farewell" - obviously this song is made for the two but last night, as I was reading Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Device #3) and that moment I arrived to the chapter where Will was just pouring his heart out to Tessa, this song came to play. Legit goosebumps right that second as it's so perfect!

Oh, speaking of Spotify, you guys probably now that YouTube now have YouTube Music; similar to Spotify but it doesn't really do much to me as I love Spotify's 'Autoplay' feature so much - I can keep listening to similar tracks when my actual playlist ends so that's like a song recommendation feature to me too. I don't think I'm moving over to YouTube Music soon but do let me know what you think on Spotify vs YouTube Music.

I guess that's all from me and I'll be seeing you guys on my next post! Take care!

Music Monday | BTS "House of Cards (Full Edition)

Image belongs to Big Hit Entertainment.
Listen on iTunes here

The song tells a story about two people who struggles in some sort of relationship where both of them are holding onto each other, enduring all things together, facing the known and unknown, not knowing whether there's still tomorrow.

But despite all that, they still want to be with each other even for just a little while, a short while that lasts forever.
