Figure | Banpresto Q Posket Rurouni Kenshin - Kenshin Himura

Previously, I've promised you guys to drop reviews on Banpresto Q Posket for Rurouni Kenshin and the second figure that came out from this line back in April is indeed the titular character of the live action movie which is Kenshin Himura (緋村 剣心 Himura Kenshin).

I've been following this releases of the live action movie since 2012 and after 13 years, the 2-part Rurouni Kenshin finale is coming to Netflix; first part called The Final is already available but I'm going to watch both parts back-to-back once the second part called The Beginning released at the end of this month.

First thing first, let's talk about the packaging!

As you can see the above, there's the front elevation printed both at the front and back of the box. The design is real nice and just pops right out with the bright colour to complement the figure colour scheme. This is indeed the A version of the figure and as much as I love this version, I do want to get the B version wear Kenshin wears dark navy men's kimono although not now-now. Of course, there's the Bandai Spirits CO. Ltd. logo at the lower right corner of the box with Banpresto logo at the top right of it as to indicate that this is an authentic item released by the manufacturer.

At the top side of the box, there's the figurine line; Rurouni Kenshin Q Posket printed on it and there's also the round, white and blue logo printed on the lower right part that says Approved by SHUEISHA. Also, there's the manufacturing date printed at the bottom side of the box which is April, 2021 and I'm pretty sure that this is the Asian Version of the figure.

Now, the figurine came with an inner packaging and protector lining that supposedly hold the unassembled figurine inside so even when the outer box get smashed into half of its size, not to worry as the figurine should be safe for you to unbox.

To my observation, an authentic figure always comes in a box and there's serial number stamped on the inner side of of the top (sometimes bottom) lid of the box so definitely check yours before cutting open the plastic cover.

I also noticed that these recents releases have set of number printed right on the plastic and there's also a series of number printed at the back of the foot stand along with Bandai Spirits name and logo.

Of course, the figurine came in unassembled parts, sealed in clear plastics; usually in 3 to 6 parts depending on the design and for this second figure from the line, there's the custom black foot stand, the head, the body and hand that's holding the sword which took me less than a minute to assemble.

Generally, Kenshin dresses simply; wearing a plain men's kimono of cheap, worn-out clothes with a white hakama, zori and tabi. In the live-action films, Kenshin wears a brown kimono in addition to his signature red kimono given to him by Kaoru in the first movie and dark-coloured kimono as seen in his flashbacks.

Now, let's see some close-ups on the figure!

Front and back elevations. The red kimono is real nice indeed but I really want to collect the other version too!

A close-up onto Kenshin's katana.

There's the embossed copyright at the inner part of his light brown hakama.

Kenshin was released simultaneously with Enishi.

The above is Kenshin along with his Battousai outfit which I'd be reviewing in the upcoming weeks so definitely stay tuned for that!

The whole Q Posket line for Rurouni Kenshin as of this date.

Shelfie Sunday | Banpresto Q Posket figures for Rurouni Kenshin Have Arrived

I've been waiting to complete this figure line released by Bandai Spirits Co. Ltd. and finally the latest release for this Q Posket line which is Seta Sojiro is here! If you didn't know, Enishi Yukishiro and Himura Kenshin were both released back in April, Saito Hajime and Himura Battousai were both released back in May while Sojiro Seta was released last month.

As of this week, I haven't seen if there's another figure coming out for this Banpresto line but I'm praying hard that maybe they can release figures for the girl characters as well especially Kaoru. Although I'm not going to lie, I've been eyeing Good Smile Company's Pop Up Parade figures for both Himura and Shishio as I don't think I can afford getting their Nendoroid counterparts but I just want more figures for Rurouni Kenshin.

Therefore in conjunction with Rurouni Kenshin Netflix's live action adaptations; The Final which came out last month and The Beginning that are supposedly coming out at the end of this month, I'm going to post reviews for all the figures above so definitely stay tuned for that.

I guess that's all for now so I'll see you guys on my next post! Happy weekend and stay safe!

I couldn't be more excited because the latest Vol. 13 figurine is featuring Deku latest costume upgrade!

Also, there are like 3 figures featuring characters that I haven't discovered yet as I merely finished watching Season 2 today 😅 Not to worry, I'm trying my best to free up my schedule to do another marathon 😁 I definitely can't wait to unbox them all!

I'm planning to post the unboxing videos sometime in September although I haven't decided whether to upload them on YouTube so it's easier for me to share them right here on my blog or coming up with a Series on my very Facebook Page so do let me know what you think by leaving comments down below. Until next time, take care and stay home safely!

Figure | Banpresto Q Posket Rurouni Kenshin - Enishi Yukishiro

As promised for figure review this week, I'm going to talk about Banpresto Q Posket for Rurouni Kenshin and the first figure that came out from this line back in April is one of the main characters of the live action movie which is Enishi Yukishiro (雪代縁 Yukishiro Enishi). If you guys didn't know, the movies are featuring the final arc of the manga which isn't covered in the anime so that's very much interesting because God knows if the anime going to be rebooted or not say like Sailormoon. Have you seen the newest Sailormoon movie by the way?

Now, let's talk about the packaging!

As you can see the above, there's the front elevation printed both at the front and back of the box. The design is real nice and just pops right out with the bright colour to complement the figure colour scheme. This is indeed the A version of the figure and I do prefer this one instead of the cooler, muted tone of the B version.

According to my observation, an authentic figure always comes in a box and there's serial number stamped on the inner side of of the top (sometimes bottom) lid of the box so definitely check yours before cutting open the plastic cover.

I also noticed that these recents releases have set of number printed right on the plastic and there's also a series of number printed at the foot stand along with Bandai Spirits name and logo.

Of course, the figurine came in unassembled parts, sealed in clear plastics; usually in 3 to 6 parts depending on the design and for this first figure from the line, there's the custom black foot stand, the upper and lower body parts that took me less than a minute to assemble.

Enishi has black eyes (highlighted with a blue hue) and spiky white hair, which occasionally casts a shadow over his eyes. He wears a Chinese-made outfit consisting of orange pants with a blue line running down each outside leg, a skin-tight dark blue tank top, and an orange jacket with blue running down the middle, blue cuffs, and a blue-lined collar. He also wears a blue half-cape and slings his watō over his back in a light brown bag. Seems to me that the trademark feature of Enishi is the small round sunglasses he wore until they broke in his final fight with Kenshin.

Front elevations. Ahh~ just looking at him while he's looking sideways! So cute!

There's the embossed copyright at the inner side of Enishi's cape.

Enishi was released simultaneously with Kenshin.

The whole Q Posket line for Rurouni Kenshin as of this date.
