As part of improving my lifestyle towards better health; as per doctor's suggestions plus I don't want to spend any bit of my life being hospitalised again so I'm ditching my usual morning coffee and opting for a routine that's easy and doesn't require any flame i.e. use of stove as I haven't cleaned my kitchen ever since I got warded back in September last year. Yes, about a year ago and I did post of a summary of it here if you're interested.

Anyway, among the first thing I got myself as per trial run for this batch of overnight oats was getting pre-mixed packs to get some sort of general ideas of what it's supposed to taste like at the very least.

I was at Imago Shopping Mall when something triggered my intention to actually look for options available meant for considered newbie like myself in this routine and I pretty much went directly to organic sections at Everrise supermarket down at the mall's basement. This Organic Wave was pretty much the only brand that offer pre-mixed overnight oats with rolled oats (not opting for instants or quick cooks as I'm going to leave them overnight in the fridge anyway) and I got 3 different blends plus a pack of chia seed along with a free glass jar for me to start. Yay!

For the first batch of just two rounds, I chose the original blend; divided the pack into two parts and used one part (around 60g) for each round then mixed with sugar-free soy milk, Greek-style yogurt and about a tablespoon of honey for taste into the complimentary jar.

Not going to lie, as someone who despise eating oats her whole life, I was totally tongue-blown! Okay, not figuratively but not only I was taken by absolute surprise by how easy to prepare this breakfast; well, after I cleared the area next to my sink and have proper space to prepare some food for myself and I, everything else was manageable, the taste somehow delicious and I quickly got onto Pinterest to see what kind of pairings I can do for my next batch.
So I called up a good friend of mine and planned for our next hang to be a grocery run instead of our usual sitting at tea places. I'll be sure to update you guys on that so do stay tuned.
Until then, take care! - M
