Journey into the Year of Blooming Abundance with Hilton Kota Kinabalu


I hope your day gets better as I'm going to share all the details on the luscious dishes for you to indulge this upcoming Lunar New Year at Hilton Kota Kinabalu. Let's get right into this!



Usher in this Chinese New Year filled with an abundance of prosperity!


This Chinese New Year, Hilton Kota Kinabalu introduces its selection of Chinese delights and delectable dine-in menus. Themed the “Year of Blooming Abundance”, Hilton Kota Kinabalu will be bringing guests on a gastronomic journey like no other.




Be surprised by the hotel’s very own version of authentic Chinese cuisine filled with an array of mouth-watering dishes to savour. Feast on various not-to-be-missed dishes at Urban Kitchen and the ever quintessential dish - the Yee Sang platter that will be tossed to usher in a new year filled with prosperity, good health, good wealth and more.



You can choose between two selections of Yee Sang;

  1. Classic Yee Sang
    • RM 88 nett- Regular (for 2-5 persons)
    • RM 118 nett- Large (for 6-10 persons)
  2. Salmon Yee Sang
    • RM 128 nett - Regular (for 2-5 persons)
    • RM 158 nett- Large (for 6-10 persons)

Now, let's go to the food stations!



Satisfy your lok-lok; skewered, deep-boiled seafood, fish ball and cake cravings right at this station!



Accompanying the lok-lok station would be this Salt station that caters your sauce and salt needs.


Whole baked Red Snapper.



Roasted lamb leg.

 

Pan-fried seabass with spinach and almond veloute and fried rice with BBQ chicken wrapped in lotus leaf. 

 

Beef casserole and butter garlic vegetables.


  

Stir-fried black pepper  venison and braised mushroom and broccoli with dried oyster and black mousse.


 

Marmite prawn and stir-fried pacific clam with celery.


 

Fried fish with black bean sauce and Chinese cabbage with dried oyster and mushroom.


 

Roasted chicken with onion sauce and braised duck with mushroom.



Chinese food without Chicken Rice section? Cannot one...



The Dim Sum station that everyone's seems to frequent back-and-forth.



The Noodles Station.


 

The Deep-Fried Station where you can take your options of noodles or ravioli for example into a bowl to be deep-fried and your options of seafood to be deep-boiled before sauteed with your choice of sauce; black pepper, sweet and sour or my favourite, spicy sambal.

 

Braised eight treasure seafood soup and Cream of watercress.


 

The Seafood on Ice Station to satisfy all pescetarians or just seafood cravings that you've been having since Christmas.

Marinated Octopus and Pomelo Salad with Coriander Dressing.


 

Green mango with Squid and Cashew Nuts and Roasted Duck with Mandarin Orange Compote.


 

Glass Noodle with Beef Salad and Mixed Seafood Salad.



The Cheese Station!


 

Now this is the white chocolate fountain with marshmallows and macaroons waiting to be encapsulated by the sweetness of the fondue. There are also the almond beancurd with longan syrup in cocktail glasses on the shelf.



All kinds of desserts!


 

Mandarin orange breton.


 

Dried longan and lotus seed jelly.


 

Green tea cake and baked red bean cake.


 

Of course, mantou buns at the Bread Station.



Last and definitely not least, the Yee Sang Station with choices of crackers, fresh vegetables, fruits and sauces. Just look at those beautiful bright colours! Huat ah!
